Inktober is a cool initiative developed by the illustrator Jake Parker, as a way to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It's since become fairly popular within the art community. You can check out more about on his site - here's a link!
This was the first year I participated in Inktober. I didn't get through the entire 31 days, I made it to day 25. So close! Participating did indeed help me improve my drawing development and inking process.
My go-to tools during the month where a non-photo blue pencil, used for getting general shapes and ideas down. A mechanical pencil to start getting details laid in. Than I would go over with a brush pen for outlining and shading.
